Today we hit a major milestone: a full, successful demo of Minima’s stablecoin - now officially named MxUSD. This means we can now begin a formal testing phase this week, moving us firmly into delivery mode.
Why this matters: MxUSD Unlocks the DEX Timeline
The stablecoin isn’t just another feature. It’s the foundation required to build a functioning DEX with stable trading pairs, predictable liquidity, and a usable marketplace.
With MxUSD working, we have addressed the critical dependency we have been waiting on. The pathway to completing the DEX in Q1 2026 is now unlocked.
Controlled Testing, January Launch
To stay aligned with our roadmap, and to ship safely, the rollout looks like this:
- This week: Internal testers get access
- January: Official launch after full testing and MiniMask integration
This ensures we deliver on our roadmap promise, while giving the engineering team the space to validate the system properly.
Temporary Architecture: Node Required for MxUSD to USDT
To deliver the stablecoin now, before MiniMask is fully tested, the system will launch with:
- Website: USDT to MxUSD (simple onboarding)
- MiniDapp: MxUSD to USDT (requires running a node)
This is a short-term limitation. Once MiniMask is out of Beta in January, web users will be able to convert both ways directly through the site.
MiniMask = The UX Unlock
MiniMask is the final piece that turns the stablecoin into a fully mainstream-friendly experience. It also acts as the UX foundation for:
- The DEX
- Future web-based MiniDapps
- Broader user onboarding
We're sequencing releases the right way: build the core first, follow up with UX refinements.
