Dear Minimalists,
March has passed, and with it, we are already one quarter into 2022. Spring is here in the Northern Hemisphere and like the flowers the crypto markets continue to bloom, gaining popularity despite yet another big hack on the Ronin sidechain.
At Minima, we've focused on working on the protocol and other crucial parts, such as our website and an updated version of the APK for everyone running their node on Android. Read on for all the updates from March.

Animation video
When explaining any blockchain, it's easy to go down the technology and decentralization rabbit hole. However, that isn't always useful to explain it to those who have little perceived need for distributed infrastructure.
Ultimately, what we're aiming to provide is freedom. And our animation video launched in March is centered around that core promise.
Updated Website
In March, we also launched our new website with a new look and feel. You can now find a vast array of information conveniently located in our documentation.

Minima Global - Empowering Freedom
New APK for Android
For everyone running their node on their android phone, we released a new version of the app. You can download the Minima APK version 0.100.32 here if you haven't already updated it. Don't forget to uninstall your previous version before installing the new one.
In version 0.100.32, we've added the Invite Program directly in-app, so you can refer and earn from your phone.

Crossing 31,000 Nodes
The amount of nodes on our network continues to grow. In March, we passed a milestone of 31,000 nodes that are all validating and constructing.
With that, we already have more than 25 times the amount of nodes Solana has and are well on our way to becoming the network with the highest node count in the space.
Why does node count matter? Because it’s the best proxy for security.

Minima was featured in TechBullion in an article outlining why the node count is the best proxy for security. Because the more nodes are securing a network, the harder it gets for an attacker to convince even a third of the network to attack.
